Over 30 years in the business.

House of Tea launched in September 1991, founded by Nathaniel Litt. Once a prolific circus clown, he hung up his wig and red nose to open up the shop in Philadelphia. After he passed, he was succeeded by his daughter, Jessica Litt, who carried on the tradition of House of Tea at its 4th Street location for years to come.

After three decades, Jessica thought she might want to retire but instead opted for a partial retirement, moving the business strictly online. She continues to dedicate herself to the service and quality that House of Tea is known for, offering a good selection of international teas at affordable prices.
